Pastor Isaac Bueckert was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. As a young child, he was invited to church, and would ride the Sunday school bus along with his brothers and sisters. At the age of seven, Isaac memorized John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosesoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." This verse tugged at Isaacs heart, and it was the beginning of a seed being planted.
Many years passed, and Isaac continued to attend church. As a teen, he became very involved in his local church youth group, as well as various other church ministries. It was during this time that Isaac was called to be a Pastor.
As Isaac began to train for the ministry, he came under deep conviction and realized that he had never truly accepted Christ as his personal Lord, and Savior. Isaac looked back to that day when he was seven years old and had memorized John 3:16. He realized that he had been trusting in his good works for many years, and it was at this time that Isaac called out to God and asked him to be Lord and Savior of his life.
Continuing in his training to become a Pastor, Isaac joined Pastor John Cook in Nanaimo, B.C. to assist in establishing a church. Shortly after completing his Bible Institute courses, God, brought Lisa into Isaacs’ life. Isaac and Lisa were married in September of 1990, in Nanaimo, BC.
God continued to move in Isaac and Lisa lives. In June of 1991, they packed up all of their belongings and moved to Red Deer, Alberta, where Pastor John Cook was once again establishing another church. Isaac and Lisa assisted Pastor Cook until 1995 when Isaac was ordained to the ministry, and became Pastor of the Red Deer Bible Baptist Church.
Pastor Isaac and his wife Lisa have lived in Red Deer, AB for over 25yrs. They have raised, and homeschooled 6 beautiful children together, (4 girls and 2 boys), Isaac and Lisa continue to raise and homeschool their youngest.
His philosophy of ministry is one of constantly looking outward to see others come to Christ. Everywhere we go, we need to be lifting up our Lord Jesus Christ so that others would be drawn to him. His heart is to see others come to know the Lord and then to take up their cross and follow our Lord.
